Congratulations winners! I am very proud of each of you who participated! Even with a smaller group, we collectively donated many wonderful prizes for babies, children, adults and even animals in need!

If you have not sent me an email with your mailing address, please do so. If you do not hear from me or the shop owner within the week, please send me an email. Last year we did have a few oversights and some prizes were sent out late. I would like to do my best to avoid this.

About to Conduct the Drawing…

It is nearly midnight here on 8 May. I am about to conduct the drawing and, like last year, I will record will doing so. This year, however, I will list your names and corresponding numbers below*. Last night, when I checked in at midnight to see who out finishers were, I realized we have as many finishers as we have prizes ^_^ Wow! So, before you listen to the podcast, read an email (sent form me) or my next blog post, know that you’ve won something!

Of course, even without prizes, we have all won something. Knowing that we have made a contribution to keep someone warm, help another cope with the effects of radiation, given a child a treasure to love, celebrate a new life or help console those who lost one, provided a comfy spot for one of man’s best friends or acknowledge those who serve.

Thank you so much for joining me in this year’s Spring For All Craft Along. Keep up the great work in preparation for next year!

I sewed a baby blanket to give to my hospital. It is my first sewing piece, I usually crochet.

Wooly Hats

At long last, I’ve taken pictures of my little guys!

These are six tiny hats for Save the Children, UK. The StCUK website says, “A woolly hat can mean the difference between life and death for a newborn baby. A newborn baby can’t regulate its own body temperature. It loses lots of vital body heat through its head which make it more prone to pneumonia – a disease which still kills around 2 million children each year.” Here are six little heads, six little lives, for six little fighters. I have a seventh on my needles.

They hardly compare with some of the works of art the other participants have posted. I’ve been knitting for almost a year and will be more of a contender next SFA CAL!

More Baby Hats and Some Cloths for Church Ministry

I was telling my Mom about the baby hats (previously posted) for the Gabriel Ministry at my church. I am flying to visit her on Mothers’ Day weekend. She is if I had any hats I could donate to her church’s Pro Life group like I did a few years ago when I visited her. So, I said, “OK, I will make some up and bring them with me.”. These are those hats. I also made some small washcloths out of some leftover cotton for those babies.
